IRCE 2011 Preview

Casey BartoInternet Retailer’s annual conference and exhibition (aka IRCE 2011) begins tomorrow. This year’s event in San Diego is set break an attendance record with over 7,000 retailers, executives, and marketers gathering in the exhibit hall to learn best practices, strategy, and other hot retailing tips.
The theme for this year’s event is “E-Commerce Shifts into Overdrive—the Race is On.” Sessions will feature practical advice to give e-retailers what they need to compete in today’s faster-paced e-commerce market. Topics range from mobile email and marketing technology, to managing technical and web staff to product fulfillment and more.

We’ll also be providing live mobile polling on Wednesday morning at the 9 AM General Session, “The Convergence: How the coming together of the Internet and TV will change e-retailers’ business.” Audience members can vote on who they agree with more on a series of key points – James McQuivey, Vice President, Principal Analyst, Forrester Research Inc., or Ben Bajarin, Director, Consumer Technology Practice, Creative Strategies. Later on Wednesday, Knotice is sponsoring Track Session D: “Advanced E-Marketing Strategies: The latest ways to win—and keep—customers.” This group of sessions will bring Internet retailers up to date on the latest marketing techniques and how they can employ them in their own operations.
