It’s no secret that consumers are increasingly becoming more multi-channel, which is why everyone from Macy’s CEO and Chairman Terry Lundgren to Forrester Research VP and Principle Analyst Sucharita Mulpuru to John Donahoe, President and CEO of eBay, stressed the importance of mobile.

Lundgren was enthusiastic about mobile during his keynote address, announcing that Macy’s will be launching an iPhone app before the end of the year.

Mulpuru emphasized the importance of recognizing the mobility revolution. In addition to recognizing the importance of mobile, Mulpuru outlined five categories that contributed to the success of web retail.

Donahue pointed out that eBay has had millions of dollars worth of sales processed through its iPhone app.
