Knotice, Hospitality, and Forrester's Marketing Forum

Josh GordonIt's been awhile since I've given an update on Knotice and our humble blog. First, thanks to all the folks who are new subscribers, who follow us on Twitter, and who stop by for the insight. Our page views continue to go up, and we all appreciate it. Hopefully April stays on track to be another record month. Remember, if you have ideas you'd like to see covered, make sure and email us or leave us a note in the comments.
Buyer Interactive, an online source for the hospitality industry, recently did a report on ways companies can boost the results of their online presence without breaking the bank. We're honored that writer Beth Kormanik saw fit to include Knotice, and our software Concentri, in the write up as a good way to achieve both stated goals. Though she wasn't able to mention any specific programs, she did highlight the benefits of integrating multiple digital channels to improve the experience of the customer in a way that also gives the hotel more to work with from a data standpoint.

Also, if you missed the write up about Direct Digital Marketing by Wise Marketer’s Pete Clark, you can read it here.

A couple of other recent posts deserve a bit of extra attention because they capture some trends and important aspects of our industry right now. For starters, recent e-commerce data suggests that not all news about the economy is bad. Also, Bryce had a very interesting post detailing why SMS is still better than the mobile web from a user ease-of-use standpoint. Dutch also contributed some “PURLs of Wisdom“, specifically highlighting how personalized URLs can increase the response rates on marketing efforts.

In other news, Knotice will be at Forrester Research’s Marketing Workshop next week in Orlando. It should be an interesting conference, as the theme is “Using the Down Economy To Catalyze Marketing Change.” If you want to visit our booth, it’s appropriately placed between Omniture and Responsys. Not too many companies are able to exhibit at this event, so if you’re attending, swing by and say hi. Also, if you recently viewed Brian’s presentation on Direct Digital Marketing at the UpShot Institute’s online summit, he’ll be there to answer any questions in person.

Thanks again for your continued readership – May will officially be the Lunch Pail’s 1-year anniversary!
